Conclusion
Summary of Key Finding
As stated in the study approach, the significance of doing this project is the purpose of protecting the planet. From cleaning the beach to interacting with NGOs fighting against ocean pollution, our ultimate goal has become much clearer. We are inspired and driven by the same love of mother earth. The enthusiasm the group gave us was contagious, and it is hard not to be curious about Azure’s project. However, along the way we have fully perceived the challenges NGOs face. They lack sponsorships to do something great and beneficial. They are not supported by the government agencies, and as a student we may be the person who speaks up for the NGOs. Be the first advocate of NGOs to have our and their voice heard and get everyone involved in the sponsorship for meaningful projects.
CALL TO ACTION
In order to protect the ocean, be sure to reduce plastic use because minimizing plastic consumption and opting for reusable alternatives to prevent plastic pollution in the ocean are important measures to protect marine life. We can use water supply wisely and treat waste water properly to prevent marine pollution. We can also support sustainable seafood. Urge people to choose sustainably sourced seafood to promote responsible fishing practices to protect the marine ecosystem. Furthermore, we could participate more often in Beach Cleanups where we can remove debris on the shorelines to make the beach more beautiful. Overall, those actions are suggestions that we help the ocean and environment to be more sustainable and better. Just like Thomas Fuller said in 1732, “We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.” Environment is our first priority to consider because unlike wealth, the environment is something that can’t be remade.
